“Ancient man went extinct during the Ice Age.” So warns Nike’s latest ad, Choose Your Winter, which surprisingly stars Irish actor Chris O’Dowd alongside such expected sports superstars as NFLers Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson, soccer players Clint Dempsey and Brad Evans, distance runner Mary Cain, figure skater Gracie Gold and snowboarder Johnnie Paxson.
O’Dowd’s weatherman walks us through all manner of snowmagaddeon and polar vortex, weather phenomena that would make winter sports for the abovementioned athletes absolutely unmanagable. If it weren’t for Nike Hyperwarm baselayers, anyway. . . .
